Acid Cam is an interactive & audio responsive installation that takes the input of webcam and audio to show the psychedelic visual cam feed on a CRT TV.

Fascinated by the physical video synthesizer, psychedelic visual, and CRT TV texture that was popularized in the 90s but came back later, the idea of this project is to add a modern touch on the old but incredible technology and aesthetic by recreating the effect using pure coding including javascript and glsl shaders. The code also listens to the feed of the audio device to make the installation performative, presenting the new visual remake onto the actual 90s CRT TV, the contrast lets the audience feel they traveled back in time.
